Click the toolbar icon, and a sidebar opens with a launcher grid of four apps: Notes, Todos, Calendar, and Share. Pick one, and it opens right there next to whatever page you're on — no new tab, no context switch. A small back arrow returns you to the launcher, and the sidebar remembers which app you had open the last time you closed it.
The same app, not a copy of it
Each app in the sidebar is the actual PWA's own UI, imported directly from its source rather than rebuilt as a separate extension-only version. A fix or feature added to Notes, Todos, Calendar, or Share shows up here too, automatically — there's no second codebase to keep in sync, and no risk of this drifting behind the PWAs over time.
Still fully offline, still private
The extension runs at its own browser-extension origin, separate from each app's website — so your notes, todos, and calendar events stored here stay isolated from (and don't collide with) the same app installed as a PWA. Nothing about the local-first, no-account design changes just because it's living in a sidebar instead of a tab.
Where it stands
The extension builds for both Chrome and Firefox from one codebase, and it's live now on both the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons — install it, pin it to your toolbar, and it's there whenever you need one of the four apps.
