resumeBuddy is live on Chrome and Firefox

My first browser extension, and my first app that talks to an AI provider on your behalf — using an API key you bring yourself, not one I resell.

resumeBuddy tailors your resume, cover letter, and outreach message to a specific job posting — right from a browser sidebar, without ever leaving the job listing you're looking at. It's the first app in the boring by design lineup that isn't a PWA, and the first that involves an AI call at all, so it was built with the same local-first instinct as everything else here: keep the data on your device, and don't put a server in the middle of something that doesn't need one.

Why bring your own key

Most AI resume tools charge a flat monthly subscription and route every request through their own backend. resumeBuddy has no backend at all — you add an API key from a provider of your choice (Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, or Claude), and your browser talks to that provider directly. Your master resume and your key live in local browser storage, not on a server I run.

What's next

Both the Chrome and Firefox listings are live today. More AI providers are on the way beyond Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, and Claude — if there's a specific one you'd like supported, let me know.
